The freshwater ponds are filled with carefully filtered water extracted from deep below the ground. Our chlorella is routinely tested for heavy metals, including mercury, lead and other contaminants to ensure that the finished product is completely pure. The cell walls are cracked to allow optimal digestion of the super-concentrated values from within each chlorella cell. When breaking the plant’s cell wall we ensure that no light or heat penetrates through to preserve the nutrients and maintain freshness of the final product.
